About Nōz

Nōz is what happens when a dev marries a fragrance nerd and they argue about perfume at dinner for too long (but not for reasons you would think of 😁). We built an app that sniffs out dupes, matches scents to your mood (yes, even your "I just want to feel expensive on a Tuesday" mood), and tells you what to wear when it's raining in Abu Dhabi. 90,000+ perfumes. Zero pretentiousness. Your nose deserves better — we're just here to prove it.

Perfume ratings on Nōz are community-derived scores. Each perfume page starts from a seed value drawn from publicly-available perfumery sources, which is progressively replaced by ratings from Nōz users as they accumulate. A perfume with many Nōz votes reflects our community almost entirely; one with few user votes still reflects its seed. Our methodology evolves with our community.
